This year’s Mayor’s Sunday is Funday will be the 14th annual event that brings our community together for an afternoon of fun and  sharing what’s going on in Rio Rancho. Over the past several years, well  over 6000 of our neighbors have come together to enjoy one of the  coolest and most exciting events of the summer.  Our theme this year is  “Everybody Matters – Rio Rancho is Stronger Together”.   Join us August 18, 2019 from noon to 4:00pm at

  Haynes Park and Pool. 

At this fun family style picnic,  you’ll find many exciting events and musical entertainment, along with  budget friendly food. The events will include: fun jumps, a mechanical  bull, a rock climbing wall, activities for kids, and interesting vendor  booths (over 140 booths have registered). During the event you can take a dip in  the pool and visit the silent auction in the air conditioned Haynes  Park Community Center.  The many beautiful shade trees will provide a  great atmosphere and break from the heat.

 Admission to the Sunday is  Funday event $1 for those 13 and older.

The  Mayor's Competition is a single elimination Kick Ball tournament. The  winner get's bragging rights and get's to keep the Tony Popper Memorial  trophy at their place for the next year. 

But wait...there's more ....The  Rio Rancho Road Runners Wheelchair Basketball competition...was a big  hit last year and is back again!

All proceeds from this event go to youth programs in our community.
